The Ask
A complete transformation of an outdated home office into a one-of-a-kind secondary living space that felt entirely different from the rest of the home. With the clients newly retired, the ask was to create a richly layered, European-inspired lounge and library—moody, intimate, and immersive—featuring ornate detailing, dramatic ceilings, and a dedicated bar, resulting in a true “Jewel Box” space unlike anything else in the home or beyond.
The Result
The result is a transportive, magazine-worthy retreat that feels collected, storied, and unmistakably unique. What was once a dated office is now a richly layered lounge where color-drenched walls, a dramatic coffered ceiling, sculpted bar, and hand-applied metallic plaster create depth, warmth, and visual intrigue. Custom craftsmanship—from the convex radius bar and hand-blown stained glass door to the marble accents and bespoke finishes—elevates the space into an immersive European-inspired experience. Distinct from the rest of the home yet perfectly intentional, The Jewel Box delivers a luxurious, expressive environment that reflects the client’s personality, passion for design, and desire for something truly one of a kind.
