The Ask
A lower level designed to function as a seamless extension of the home, with a strong emphasis on creating a natural transition between indoors and outdoors. The client asked for a modern, light-filled space that could manage pool traffic through an integrated wet zone near the exterior door, while feeling elevated and inviting; never like a basement, but fully connected to the rest of the home.
The Result
The result is a fully reimagined lower level that delivers on both performance and design, transforming the space into a polished, modern extension of the home. Through strategic revisions to framing, layout, utilities, and material selection, the team addressed inherited challenges while preserving budget and structure. The finished space seamlessly supports indoor-outdoor living with a well-defined wet zone, durable slip-resistant flooring, and concealed storage, all while maintaining clean lines and visual cohesion. The end result is a highly functional, light-filled environment that feels intentional, elevated, and fully aligned with the client’s vision.
